This is sort of a timeline of this websites development or something.
This all began when I was working on my setup for OBS and I found a very useful plugin that required me to edit an html document.
The Problem (Day 0)
I use OBS to stream the process of making and recording music in Ableton, my setup works well but there are a few issues I ran into.
- Problem: Ukulele is much louder than my talking voice, so the mic should be some distance away from it.
- Solution: Add about 10db gain filter onto the mic and toggle it for when I'm talking only.
- New Problem: Everything EXCEPT audio filters can be toggled by a hotkey for some reason.
- Solution: Advanced Scene Switcher allows you to make simple "if, then" statements to change any value.
- Problem: The only way to see if a filter is on or off would be inside the devices options (which is annoying.)
- Solution: The plugin that started this all, Filter Monitor.
So after watching this video and following along I set up a Gain toggle.
I also set up a toggle to record my camera seperate from the rest of the scene using Branch Output despite it saying Source Record, which is also a plugin that does the same thing, but has more issues in my experience. (I might make a video on this one since no one seems to know of or use Branch Output.)
then when I was done, I figured "well I already learned some of the basics of HTML formatting, might as well do the rest"
